You do not need a guide to walk the terraces. The paths are straightforward. However, a guided tour handles transportation and local navigation.

Krisna was a fantastic guide! This was a great way to efficiently see the highlights of Ubud without having to worry about orchestrating any of the logistics (transportation, tickets, tours). Krisna made the whole thing so easy, so we could just appreciate the beautiful sites. He was great to talk to, very knowledgeable, and an excellent photographer.
This is a great day tour to see some interesting inland sights in Bali. The monkey sanctuary was fantastic!!! Our driver and guide, Bello, was really nice and great fun! The group was five people, so a nice size. It was good to see another side of Bali.
Excellent job. Awan was an excellent tour guide. He was so patient and helpful. The tour was great. From start to end. Waterfalls.
